Tippi Hedren Gets a Star on the Orinda Theater Walk of Fame - September 17, 2009

On September 17th Tippi Hedren received the first Star on the Orinda Theatre Walk of Fame. The Mayor along with the Orinda Chamber of Commerce presented Tippi with her Star at the Theatre's Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Tippi had the honor of cutting the ribbon. After the ceremony Tippi was interviewed by the San Francisco Film Museum.

On Friday Sept 18th the Caiff screened the movie "The Birds" with an intimate dinner with Tippi 20 of her biggest fans prior to the show. After the dinner, Tippi sat on stage and answered questions about the Shambala Preserve and the recent fire threats as well as questions about Hitchcock and the filming of The Birds.

Warhol Wild Event - September 11, 2009
The Warhol Wild Event was an art exhibition of a collection of unique animal screenprints, drawings and collages by Andy Warhol. Tippi Hedren hosted the opening reception and a substantial portion of the proceeds from the sales at the exhibition were donated to the Roar Foundation for the Shambala Preserve.
